Major Activities:

  1. Prepare for and manage all aspects of courtroom allocation in the Victoria Registry, including preparation and publication of the daily list;
  2. Managing a team of casual court officers, including allocation of work, training, and administrative support;
  3. Oversight of in-court technology, including liaising with onsite transcription service and other technology providers;
  4. Communicating and co-ordinating attendance of litigants with external agencies, including government agencies such as Corrections Victoria and immigration detention centres;
  5. Provide training and support for in-court processes, including opening and closing court, swearing in witnesses, and videoconference process;
  6. Corresponding with practitioners and legal support staff in relation to videoconference procedure, including related administrative process;
  7. Provide reciprocal administrative assistance to the Building and Events Officer, as required, and
  8. Other administrative duties, for instance the allocation of visiting chambers, as required.
