The role of the Court Security Officer is to provide a range of assistance and project support services to the Director Security including providing technical, professional, and/or policy advice in relation to security matters within the court system. Providing assistance in the development of operational and policy planning, development and project management. The position will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to difficult or sensitive issues and may liaise with a range of stakeholders in a representational role. Work may involve supervisory responsibilities requiring the setting of priorities and managing workflows. The role will assist in the development of policies, procedures and practices for the security of the courts, judges and other court personnel as well as for court premises. The role will assist the Director Security in the management and oversight of the court’s security nationally.
This position will assist with the acquisition, maintenance and replacement of security equipment and apparatus and management of security contracts.
This is a Designated Security Assessment Position (DSAP) with clearance access level of NV2.
